Salt mines under construction – a visit that is… explosive!

The famous mine train is taking a break! During the renovation of the Mines, which will last until summer 2026, the Mines are open and offer a new, unique visitor experience. 🗓️ Available until summer 2026.


The mines, like you've never experienced them before!

The impressive tour, entirely on foot, takes visitors through the historic tunnels and reservoirs, telling the story of Alpine salt with light, sound, and exciting anecdotes.

As a highlight, guests can expect an "explosive" insight into the work of the miners, as well as sweet and savory tastings that will further enhance the visit!

Temperature

18 °C year-round inside the mines, warm clothing is recommended. The tour also takes place outdoors, so adjust your clothing to the weather.

The visited areas are well-ventilated and well-lit. Comfortable footwear is recommended.

Access

The tour is suitable for all age groups. For safety reasons, visitors must be able to move around the Mines without assistance devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers.

Languages

Except for the scheduled tours in German, all tours are conducted in French. Groups of 20 or more can be conducted in French, German, English, or Italian.
