Swiss salt heritage
The Bex Salt Mines Foundation has the main task of preserving and enhancing the historical and cultural heritage of the Bex salt mine.

Main tasks
- Organization of temporary or permanent exhibitions, execution of events related to the foundation
- Expansion of the historical heritage
- Enhancement and acquisition of objects of collection
- Development of the tourist destination thanks to fundraising
The foundation is the guarantor of the movable cultural assets of the salt mine in Bex, which include archives, plans, machines, tools, and other objects.
Recognized as a non-profit foundation, it also deals with scientific, historical, and artistic questions related to its area of activity.

Exhibition about Jean de Charpentier
Charpentier, who was very well known in the region and far beyond, remained one of the most famous and admired directors of the Bex Salt Mines and Bex Salines. (Re)discover what shaped and made him famous.
Free and accessible in the outdoor area of the Mines.

He is back!
Iconic with its beautiful Vaud colors, the packaging of Vaud table salt from the 1990s has been reproduced in limited quantities.

Renovation of the Bernese Chalet
The Bernese Chalet, located in the place Le Bouillet, is said to date back to the time of the late Bernese administration of Vaud, that is, from the early years of the Canton of Vaud. Its renovation will provide a home for the history of Swiss salt and, in particular, Vaud salt.
